We offer a large range of column options and undertake bespoke restoration work too. Typically new columns are hybrid (castings & supporting tube) or fully cast aluminium. Iron and even Bronze versions can be produced, but they are usually on long leadtimes and command premium prices.
The Hybrid columns are extremely popular, due to their design flexibility and customizable structural characteristics. A hybrid column typically consists of a galvanized structural steel core, embellished with aluminium castings to suit. These can be a “mix & match” set of castings to suit the style required and chosen for the appropriate size column core.
Most of our columns come complete with a flanged baseplate. If you want some other form of base and/or some fixing brackets at column top level, we can usually provide what’s needed at minimal cost. The same applies to special fixings needed elsewhere on the column – to provide a balustrade connection for example.

We have a very large selection of cast column bases – to fit tubing diameters from 60mm to 200mm+. These bases can be mixed & matched with our column collars to help customise plain structural columns into something looking very special.
