The war memorial in Beverley featured four stone figures, each holding something symbolic. All these items were stolen over a period of years and we were asked to re-create them. The originals were cast in lead but it was felt that the replacements should be in a less valuable metal and we used a high-silicon aluminium alloy.
The originals for each piece were created by our colleague Mike Miller, cast, weathered and positioned on the memorial, for which we also supplied two additional bronze plaques.
